The Slendertone product range is an educational sell requiring the brand website to supply content in local languages in order to maximise sales and conversion rates. To support Slendertone’s approach, Optimus delivered country specific affiliate programmes that supported the clients local offline marketing calendar – which included TV campaigns.
Cost of sale is key, so to maintain minimum cost of sale in the affiliate channel Optimus maximised volumes, whilst taking an aggressive approach to the fixed costs associated with each country programme. This was achieved in each market by ensuring that key volume driving publishers were in place to support the scheduled advertising with onsite and newsletter exposure. This is in addition to a year round promotional and code based schedule designed to highlight seasonally relevant products and encourage publisher engagement with the programme.
The combined growth of the EU programmes delivered a staggering 121.8% in sales versus last year (January to May 2014 vs 2015). Furthermore every country is in double digit growth with Spain being the latest successful country extension in the EU programme.
