Over the past year Optimus Performance Marketing has been involved in a number of charity events to raise money for Children’s Hospice South West, a charity that provides hospice care for children with life-limiting conditions and offers support to their families. Committed to making the most of short and precious lives, the aim of CHSW is to enrich the lives of the children and their families by building precious memories that can be cherished forever.
As a local Plymouth business, Optimus-PM is dedicated to supporting local charities and endeavours, taking part in numerous sponsored events throughout the year. This is Optimus’ first year raising money for Children’s Hospice South West and as it stands they are set to raise over £5000 through their charitable contributions and are on target toward smashing any previous charity work totals that they have ever achieved before.
In addition to selling over 250 raffle tickets, Optimus Performance Marketing have been raising funds by donating second-hand items, holding sponsored events such as charity cake sales, and have eleven brave members of staff taking part in a group skydive. Optimus have also supported Children’s Hospice South West by taking part in sponsored runs; including the Plymouth Half Marathon and the CHSW Annual Rainbow Run in Newquay, where they also sponsored a paint station.
Gemma Robinson, the Charity Liaison at Optimus-PM says “As a team, we collectively chose Children’s Hospice South West as our Optimus-PM local charity of the year because we all felt strongly about supporting the work that they do; but nothing could prepare us for the impact that visiting Little Harbour would have. We were humbled, inspired and truly touched by the service that the CHSW team provide to families who are so deserving of their help. We all wanted to help as much as possible so we ramped up our efforts and have been busy fundraising all year, but no matter how much money we raise for CHSW, there are always ways you can help this incredible charity – please join us in supporting this charity by visiting our group fundraising page! Thank you!”
The charity skydiving events will take place in 2017, but fundraising efforts have already begun. Optimus are already on track to raise more than they ever have for the Children’s Hospice, but any additional donations are always appreciated. If you’re feeling charitable, please feel free to donate to any Optimus-PM Skydive 2017 campaigns.
