The Festive Friday campaign took place just before Christmas. The St. Lukes Festive Friday campaign was launched to encourage businesses and schools to raise money for a good cause whilst getting Festive. During their annual Christmas party, Optimus got involved with Festive Friday by taking part in various activities including; karaoke, Christmas jumpers and lots of cake, in a bid to raise valuable funds for the hospice.
St. Lukes Hospice works 24 /7 and has provided care for thousands of terminally ill patients for over 30 years. The charity needs to raise over £4 Million each year in order to maintain the vital services they provide to the local community, providing people with free end of life care across Plymouth, South West Devon and East Cornwall.
In total, Optimus raised £134.92. Mark Russell, CEO at Optimus went on to say: “We are delighted to raise money for such a good cause. It was a real team effort that made it such a success, everyone got involved. We look forward to many more fundraising events this year!”
For more information, find St. Lukes Hospice Plymouth on Facebook, Twitter or head to their website. You will be able to find out ways you or your organisation can get involved.
